His plot in the Riverlands is him trying to prove that his method can work and that people will mind to him because he ’s secure and powerful . In both cases , he ’s heading toward a major dashing hopes , as he has petty fortune of win anything without Rhaenyra , and he ’s not the leader he thinks he is .

Now that Daemon has lost the Riverlands , he has a massive situation to cleanse up . Turning to Rhaenyra to solve it does n’t seem probable , so the residuum of season 2 could see Daemon acknowledging some of his mistake and realizing that Rhaenyra was right in many ways . If he can regain a style to work the Riverlords to her side , Daemon could rethink his billet and realize how much he need Rhaenyra inHouse of the Dragon .
