Grey’s Anatomy

When it comes toGrey ’s Anatomy , most fans will agree   that the Logos ' drill ' does n’t make the show ’s description . How can it when the author have kept them think about for old age ? There has been dramatic sexual love triangle , cheating dirt , anda lot of character expiry . That ’s not even cite how there has also been a bomb calorimeter terror , hospital fires , and a surgery even take billet in an elevator .

However , that ’s not to say that all episode are gross - peculiarly if newcomers go off the ratings that are incur on IMDb . While some have high ratings , there have been many complaint about the realism over sure storylines . The lowest tell on one may be filler , but even then , they still contain some redeeming qualities to them . flaw and strengths can be found everywhere .

Worst: Season 1 -  “Winning A Battle, Losing A War” - 8.3

Since the show had still been in the early stage , fan were still a little ambivalent about the show as they were trying to get to grips with all the characters , medical jargon , and specialties . However , the writers did bring off to convince viewers to stick with it when they hinted at what else could be in computer storage .

While it ’s no secret that Grey ’s hold some emotional and sensible theme , the writer did secure that fan knew it would n’t always be the case . The show would also check tight - paced military action and funniness element . This episode had a perfect residue between the two .

Worst: Season 2 - “Let It Be” - 8.1

Fans will believably fit in that the season 2 episode " Let It Be " was n’t the most exciting episode . The reason why it was especially hated was the fact that the episode focused fashion too much on Derek and Addison ’s matrimonial woes as well as their two friends ( who lover never saw again ) .

However , there were still some redeem qualities to it , especially with the subplots . The rooter sawIzzie and Alex ’s relationship develop . They see the sweet but tragical love story of the patients Esme and Jed , and not to block Cristina and Burke ’s disorderly first date . More attention should have been given to these .

Worst: Season 3 - “The Other Side Of This Life (Part 2)” - 7.0

Although both percentage of " The Other Side Of This lifespan " were the lowest - rate episode of time of year 3 , lover should n’t overlook it wholly . While the episode did n’t have as much on everyone ’s favorite Grey - Sloan surgeon , it did give them a stool pigeon preview into the spin - off , Private Practice .

With Addison taking center stage , the viewers pay off more brainstorm into her past - particularly the family relationship she made with her college best friends , Sam and Naomi . It was also the episode that saw the introduction of Pete , Violet , and Cooper . If it was n’t for this test , then sports fan would n’t have stupefy the other six seasons .

Worst: Season 4 - “Love/Addiction” - 7.9

It ’s completely understandable why fans did n’t particularly like this installment as it watch Izzie and George decide to make their romance functionary and Derek ’s and Meredith ’s on-going dramatic event . However , there was still some interesting fibre development that occurred here .

The witness saw a vulnerable side to Cristina , a future hint of Alex ’s hereafter in pedology , and a coup d’oeil of Lexie ’s personality . They may have been small things at the fourth dimension but they proved of import in the long run .

Worst: Season 5 - “These Ties That Bind” - 8.2

While most of theGrey’sfandom would consort that the episodes that feature Sadie Harris were n’t all that keen , but there was still some redeem quality . peculiarly in " These tie-up That obligate , " where fans got to see Cristina become covetous over Sadie ’s friendship with Meredith andthe beginnings of Mark and Lexie ’s romance .

Let ’s also not block that this was the beginning of Izzie ’s huge grapheme arc too . This sequence bode large things for the buff .

Best: Season 1 - “Who’s Zoomin' Who?” - 8.7

It ’s not surprising that " Who ’s Zoomin ' Who " was take note by fans as the best installment of season 1 as it was the first time where the writers bewilder in a massive curveball . Derek was wed and his wife had just turned up looking for him .

It was a twist that no one saw coming , especially since Derek and Meredith had been so infatuated with each other at this point . However , if it had n’t been for this moment , one has to wonder if it would be the most memorable . After all , while there were plenty of comedic elements , there was hardly any plot growing . It feel more like a filler than anything .

Best: Season 2 - “(As We Know It)” - 9.5

After a tumultuous first part , it was n’t surprising that many fans wanted to see how it turned out . specially as Meredith was now caught in the middle of a bomb menace , Bailey was resist to give birth , and Derek was try out to spare Tucker ’s life .

The action and plot line had everyone on the edge of their seat . However , there was a reason why the instalment was n’t a complete ten . The writers weakened the plot a little with the random Izzie and Alex hook - up that occurred justly in the center of the bomb threat . Not to forget how most of the staff defy to vacate the premise . It feel " too unrealistic . "

Best: Season 3 - “Drowning On Dry Land” - 8.9

In " submerge On Dry Land , " the episode straightaway picked up exactly where the last one had leave off , with Meredith struggling to swim in the pier while the surgeons were trying to help the victims of the ferrying gravy boat accident .

Overall , there was a very somber and worked up tone to the installment as the witness witness the painfulness and heartbreak of the fellowship looking for their loved I . However , it did feel like the writer should have removed all the personal drama from the plot , specially the George / Callie / Izzie tensions , as it felt unnecessary and took aside from the important issues .

Best: Season 4 - “Freedom (Part 2) - 8.8

The season 4 coda may have been one of the most intriguing episodes in condition of eccentric development , there was certainly some limiting factors to it . Although the teenager who got himself entrapped in concrete did make for some entertaining TV , the whole medical causa was far - fetched .

Many sports fan from the medical communitycouldn’t get past the inconsistency and unrealistic procedures the patient role was put through . perchance it would have induce a ten if the author have researched a spot more into the case ?

Best: Season 5 - “Now Or Never” - 9.6

There ’s a reason why " Now or Never " stood out to lover . As many fans hump , it looked like fans were run low to miss two fan - favorite character as Izzie was see to go into cardiac - arrest andGeorge was revealed to be the mysterious John Doe . It was a cliffhanger that had fans blab for month .

However , the understanding why this did n’t get a high rating on IMDb was because other than this , nothing really happen . Meredith and Derek ’s hymeneals was anti - climatic , Mark and Lexie incessantly argued about their future and everyone was trying to stop George from join the US Army . compare to other finales , this was a little fallible .
