Is this really such a voguish storyline , though ? It definitely feel like an easy exculpation . Has this storyline really been in the industrial plant for several seasons ? It seems like Amelia could have had something else go on . This is one way that she has bring forth worse as the show has progressed .
Her Relationship With Derek Was Never Properly Developed
Back when Derek was still around , Amelia would plain about how Derek did n’t talk to her , and they definitely did n’t have a good relationship . It ’s fair to say that their sibling relationship was never properly developed .
Amelia seemed green-eyed of him and she also begrudge him for ignoring her . It feel like she was always blame him and they could have just had an undefended conversation alternatively .
She Approaches Every New Love Interest The Same Way, Which Isn’t Interesting
Whether it ’s Owen or Link ( Chris Carmack ) , Amelia approaches every raw love interest the same style . She always wants to just keep matter casual and she really freaks out when it seems like it ’s ' proceed to be more serious than that .
This is n’t very interesting to watch and feels like a character defect . It would have been skillful if she had been open to settle down with Link right aside as she clearly feel connected to him . This would have felt like some real growth .
Her Character Often Seems Too Similar To Meredith And Cristina
Meredith Grey ( Ellen Pompeo ) and Cristina Yang ( Sandra Oh ) are known for being strong , self-governing , and sometimes unfriendly mass . They ’re the direct opposite of much more pollyannaish type like Arizona Robbins ( Jessica Capshaw ) .
Another way that Amelia has gotten worse onGrey ’s Anatomy ? She often seems too similar to Meredith and Cristina . She ’s disconfirming and pessimistic like they are , and she does n’t have a lot of unequalled characteristic . Amelia just does n’t stand out .
When She Does Have A Baby, The Writers Decide That She Should Still Be Confused
Amelia spends a lot of sentence being confused onGrey ’s Anatomyas she seems to have trouble do swelled determination or following her heart . Another problem with this character ? When she does have a baby , as in the current time of year , the writers decide that things should still be super perplexing and eldritch for her .

It’s Boring To Watch Amelia Never Take Responsibility
No matter what ’s go on in Amelia ’s animation , she never takes responsibleness . It ’s always someone else ’s fault , even if it ’s the fault of the universe of discourse . She ’s mad that her fiance and baby were taken aside from her , and rightly so , but she resent other doctors for their achiever .
Amelia also go angry at Meredith and enjoin that because of her , she did n’t get the opportunity to see Derek before he died and have that occlusion . That seems unfair and harsh , as things happened very chop-chop and there really would n’t have been time . But this is yet another way of life that Amelia has gotten bad and worse .
